Joe Costello is a successful businessman who got his start in the jewelry trade with an investment of just $160 and four gold chains.  Building on his early success, Joe founded Costello Jewelry Company in 1979.  Today the multi-million dollar company has two beautiful stores in the Chicagoland area.

Offering quality stock items using a wide assortment of natural, God-created precious metals and gemstones, the stores also features handcrafted custom jewelry.  In fact, Joe has assembled a remarkable on-premises staff of artists, designers, platinum-smiths, gold-smiths, stone-setters, and consultants to serve even the most specialized needs of his clients and customers.  As Joe says, "We were making things the old-fashioned way before it was old-fashioned."

From the beginning Joe has been committed to creating quality designs and solutions - so that his jewelry becomes a multi-generational legacy rather than mere baubles.  For instance, when a customer was looking for a way to honor her hard-to-please husband, Joe had his craftsmen create a one-of-a-kind ring.  Since the man was an avid yachtsman, Joe had a diamond custom-cut into the shape of a billowing sail.  He then fashioned a gold setting of hand engraved ocean waves backed by a setting sun - a beautiful yellow diamond.  With hand-engraved gulls against the sky, the ring was a work of art, a gift of love, and a blessing to the entire family.  "To me," Joe said, "that's really what we should always be about."

Joe places a tremendous emphasis on family integrity, enduring legacy, and genuine faith.  These priorities were first modeled for him by his own father, Joe Sr.  "My father nurtured all seven of his children in faith and love.  And that is the greatest accomplishment any man can make.  I praise God for him everyday."  That is why the focus of Joe's work today is not simply business success, but the perpetuation of that inheritance.

Joe lives in the Chicagoland area with his wife of sixteen years, Peggie, and their four children, RosaLia, Kiley, Joseph III, and Marino.
